As this plan has failed, Pokrovsky assisted by some terrorists organizes a hostage taking in a Moscow circus (very similar to Moscow theater hostage crisis in real life) in order to return to Russia, acting as a saver of the hostages during negotiations. However, he fails to do so. The movie also depicts the Pankisi Gorge in Georgia as a place where an important Islamic militant hides, which was a common allegation by Russian authorities in real life around that time, and depicts destruction of a base of terrorists and allies of Pokrovsky in Qatar which might hint at the assassination of Zelimkhan Yandarbiev. Overall, the movie was widely considered propaganda.

Liu Tai and local Singapore cop Stone (Leung Ka-Yan) try to beat the Red Army to Fatty, but they also have to deal with Hong Kong triad boy B (Andy Lau), who wants to make sure Fatty's blood goes to his girlfriend (May Lo) first. She was also wounded in the same attack as the Daka Lama, and also needs the ultra-rare blood. Will everyone work together to make sure both the Daka Lama and B's girl are saved? Or will they get in each other's way and allow the two to die?
Andrew Lau Wai-keung spins this mobland thriller adapted from Niu Lo's cult comic book Cow Man. The two are spirited away to Macau only to be jumped by Kwan's henchmen. Chan's friend is killed while Chan is captured, drugged, and shot on tape having sex with Chicken's girlfriend. Crushed by his friend's perceived betrayal, Chicken leaves for Taiwan while Chan is punished by his gang. Meanwhile, Kwan plots to take over the Hung Hing Society.
