By the time, Chaturvedi thinks he is fully purified â the child reappears â seeking refuge, due to Hindu- Muslim riots. This is the time Chaturvedi finally realizes that the true religion is - religion where humans help humans â humanity.

On the dawn of the Hajj, Abu tells his wife that they will go the next year. He goes to the mosque to pray on the Hajj morning.

Sreenivasan is not able to get the necklace back and moves on waiting for fate to take its course which forms rest of the story.
