The opening film of the 16th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival(PiFan) is HORROR STORY, the horror omnibus film of four episodes by five filmmakers including Jeong Bum Shik(EPITAPH), Kim Gok and Kim Sun(WHITE), Hong Ji Young(THE NAKED KITCHEN), Yim Dae Woong(MY TEACHER) and Min Gyu Dong(MEMENTO MORI, ANTIQUE), who finished the bridge cuts connecting all episodes. As for the film, Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is another story of corrupt Indian politics brought to its knees by a single man, in this case Pawan Kalyan's Rambabu. When Rambabu is spotted defusing a potential riot he becomes something of a folk hero in Andhra Pradesh, and Cameraman Ganga (Tamannah), a newswoman eager to climb the corporate ladder, decides to take advantage of his new celebrity by bringing him on as an investigative reporter of sorts at her TV station. There is tension, suspense, a love triangle, murder, and numerous fights and songs, and it all adds up to what seems to be an above average masala film, and a return to form for director Puri Jagannadh.
Lagaan tells the tale of the Indian village Champaner, beset by drought and British colonialism in the year 1893. Without a drop of rain in months, the worried villagers of Champaner decide to ask the local authorities for a temporary repeal of their taxes -- the hated lagaan. Goa based Joseph Braganza and his wife Flavy, devout Catholics, are both deaf and mute. He makes a living selling soap bars door to door.
